We replicated previous GWAS results, reporting a significant association of TSLP and RORA gene variants with asthma [31,33] (Table 4) and GCKR, PNPLA3, TRIB1 and TM6SF2 gene variants with the risk of developing liver diseases, notably NAFLD/NASH [8,11–15,20,24–26,29,53] (Table 5). This evidence concerns the gene TRIB1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
