Lin et al.39 described that the Akt inhibitor MK-2206 enhances the efficacy of cisplatin and paclitaxel in vitro, in both Akt-active and Akt-inactive ovarian cancer cells, but through different mechanisms that include the inhibition of Akt signaling, induction of ROS, and restoration of p53 levels.
