CD4 and hypertensive disorder: In the adjusted analysis, non-white race/ethnicity (adjusted hazard ratio (aHR) 1.49, p-value = 0.009), age ≥ 60 years (aHR 2.01, p-value = 0.045) and hypertension (aHR 1.90, p-value < 0.001) were associated with an increased hazard of CVD events, while high CD4 counts (≥ 500 cells/mm3: aHR: 0.41, p-value < 0.001), cART use (aHR 0.21, p-value < 0.001) reduced the hazards of CVD events.
