CRP and viral infectious disease: The WBC count (16.11 ± 9.11 × 109/L versus 9.89 ± 4.65 × 109/L; p = 0.007), platelets count (390.43 ± 88.11 × 109/L versus 282.29 ± 79.35×109/L; p = 0.001) and CRP level (20.00 (7.95–65.22) mg/L versus 2.73 (1.00–13.89) mg/L; p = 0.008) were significantly elevated in sepsis/bacteremia children who arrived early when compared with the viral infection group.
