INS and diabetes mellitus: People with diabetes who were either not treated or treated with an oral hypoglycemic agent more frequently washed their hands with soap or hand sanitizer (none: aOR = 1.33, 95% CI = 1.16–1.52; oral hypoglycemic agent: aOR = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.01–1.25) after returning from the outdoors (none: aOR = 1.36, 95% CI = 1.18–1.58; oral hypoglycemic agent: aOR = 1.15, 95% CI = 1.02–1.28) compared to those treated with insulin.
