ANGPTL4 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: To validate whether these genes preferentially presented a unique expression signature of hypoxic NSCLC cells, we then selected three representative key genes (LOXL2, VEGFA, and ANGPTL4) that were known to be responsible for hypoxia, EMT, and glycometabolism and applied quantitative real‐time PCR to validate their mRNA levels in three independent NSCLC cell lines (NCI‐H838, NCI‐H1437, and NCI‐H1975), in addition to A549 and HCC827.
