At advanced stages of cancers, including lung cancer, the tumor tissues become highly immunosuppressive due to the infiltration by immunoinhibitory cells such as Tregs and MDSCs and/or the generation of inhibitory factors such as PD-1/PD-L1, lymphocyte activation gene-3, IL-10, and TGFβ [5–8].
