PSMD9 was observed in top50 genes detected in liver-WDIN, and it plays an important role in negative regulation of insulin secretion processes (GO:0046676) and positive regulation of insulin secretion (GO:0032024); GALM is another potential T2D-related gene detected in liver-WDIN that acts as a part of the galactose catabolic process (GO:0019388) and the galactose metabolic process (GO:0006012). This evidence concerns the gene GALM and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
