As neutrophils and macrophages are the first defense barrier against A. fumigatus (Dagenais and Keller, 2009), their recruitment, could take place via ADCC (antibody dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity) or ADCP (antibody dependent cell-mediated phagocytosis) mechanisms, thus suggesting that anti-Crf antibodies are able to stimulate the most important components of the natural immune response during aspergillosis.
