CALCA and migraine disorder: According to the abovementioned evidence, CGRP is considered a relevant target for migraine, and many efforts have been made to show that CGRP antagonism, by small molecules antagonists of CGRP receptor [28,29,30,31,32,33], an anti-CGRP receptor antibody [34,35,36] and anti-CGRP peptide antibodies [37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45] are all efficacious for the treatment or prevention of migraine.
