A significantly higher discriminating capacity was still observed for FABP4 to predict stroke recurrence (AUC, 0.75; 95% CI, 0.70–0.81), compared to Hs-CRP (AUC 0.70; 95% CI, 0.62–0.76; P=0.009), HCY (AUC 0.71; 95% CI, 0.63–0.78; P=0.01) and NIHSS score (AUC 0.77; 95% CI, 0.70–0.83; P=0.09). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and stroke disorder.
