INS and diabetes mellitus: At 6-month follow-up patient nearly normalized body weight (–12.3 Kg), displayed hypertension controlled with the same antihypertensive therapy but reduced antidiabetic treatment, withdrawing short-acting and long-acting insulin, as DM was controlled by the only metformin (1500 mg/die), whereas mixed dyslipidemia turned into hypertrigliceridemia, treated with diet.
