Although non-coding RNAs such as small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs), microRNAs and long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs), have been studied in disease etiology (Barry, 2014; Lai et al., 2016), the involvement of SNORA38B, SNORA68, SNORA23, SNORA20, and SNORA3A in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia has yet to be reported. The gene discussed is SNORA20; the disease is schizophrenia.
