Interestingly, up-regulation of DUSP10 in prostate cancer cells correlated with inactivation of p38 MAPK and decreased production of the inflammatory cytokine IL-625, and DUSP10 was found to down-regulate the release of cytokines (IL-6 and TNF) by regulating p38 MAPK pathway in macrophages26. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
