Survival analysis for the NDRG4 promoter methylation was conducted in 782 patients dichotomized in higher and lower methylation groups by MethSurv.24 These results significantly validate the relationship between NDRG4 promoter methylation and poor survival rate in breast cancer patients, suggesting that NDRG4 methylation may serve as a prognostic biomarker in breast cancer (cg01466678: HR = 1.7 [95%CI: 1.16–2.58], p = 0.0085, Fig. 3a). Here, NDRG4 is linked to breast carcinoma.
