Similarly, it has been reported in the Drosophila wing imaginal disc that scrib‐RNAi cells are basally extruded, followed by apoptosis in the “tumor coldspots” region, while scrib‐RNAi cells are apically extruded and cause tumorigenic overgrowth through JAK/STAT signaling in the “tumor hotspots” region (Tamori, Suzuki, & Deng, 2016).
