DNA methylation of genes ADAMTS1 and BNC1 was studied using cfDNA in a large cohort of patients with varying stages of pancreatic cancer and an age-matched normal group to determine the sensitivity, specificity, and applicability of this two-gene panel as a non-invasive biomarker set for the early detection of pancreatic cancer. This evidence concerns the gene BNC1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
