Interestingly, all ongoing clinical trials related to anti-MASP-2 mAb (OMS721) initiated by OMEROS target chronic diseases such as thrombotic microangiopathies (NCT02222545), IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy and C3 glomerulopathy (NCT02682407), or atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (NCT03205995), whereas targeting acute clinical conditions, such as IRI accompanying myocardial infarct or stroke, have not been reported yet. Here, MASP2 is linked to complement 3 glomerulopathy.
