For the study of the whole population included in our investigation, PGC-1α rs8192678 polymorphisms have shown a significant association with T2DM risk under allelic (OR: 1.24, 95% CI: 1.13-1.35), dominant (OR: 1.27, 95% CI: 1.14-1.42), recessive (OR: 1.24, 95% CI: 1.14-1.36), homozygous (OR: 1.40, 95% CI: 1.20-1.64), and heterozygous (OR: 1.20, 95% CI: 1.06-1.35) genetic models (Table 3). The gene discussed is PPARGC1A; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
