Recently, MMP9 has also been shown to be involved in cell proliferation, migration, invasion and epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT).18 MMP9 overexpression has been observed in many solid tumours, including pancreatic cancer, and is correlated with poor prognosis.19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 In the present study, we evaluated the therapeutic efficacy of a highly selective and potent anti‐MMP9 antibody AB0046, the murine surrogate of humanized MMP9 antibody andecaliximab, in combination with nab‐paclitaxel‐based standard chemotherapy in pre‐clinical models of pancreatic cancer. Here, MMP9 is linked to pancreatic neoplasm.
