In nut-shell, the present study demonstrates that Cu and DSF decrease the level of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, 2, 6, and 7) and transcription factors (NF-κB and TNF-α) concomitant with an increase in the level of an anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-10) and apoptotic marker (cleaved PARP) in HCC rats (Figures 1, , –4). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
