To the best of our knowledge, COL5A2 has been associated with ischemic heart disease (Azuaje et al., 2013) and the development of cancers, such as bladder cancer (Li et al., 2017), glioblastoma (Vastrad et al., 2017), and gastric cancer (Cao et al., 2018), with no evidence for an association with OA. This evidence concerns the gene COL5A2 and coronary artery disorder.
