Ceyzériat et al. (2018) have shown that the inhibition of the astrocytic janus kinase 2 (JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway efficiently controlled the reactivity of these cells in the hippocampus of AD mice, which was followed by a reduction in amyloid deposition, synaptic deficits and spatial learning improvements. This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and amyloidosis.
