In addition, our results showed that the other three specific down-regulation genes (MYL1, MYH2 and MYLPF) were involved in muscle contraction process, which might play a regulatory role in remodeling of muscle function in HNSCC tissues; however, the specific roles of these genes in cancers still need to be elucidated. Here, MYL1 is linked to head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
