MET gene amplification, or c-MET protein overexpression, is one of the causes of resistance in NSCLC patients with the first or second-generation EGFR-TKI, accounting for about 5% of resistances (Engelman et al., 2007; Cappuzzo et al., 2009; Yu et al., 2013).
