The ToGA trial, a phase III, open-label, randomised controlled study showed that patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive oesophagogastric junction (EGJ) or advanced gastric cancer (AGC) receiving trastuzumab plus capecitabine/5FU and cisplatin had better outcomes compared to patients receiving chemotherapy alone. Here, ERBB2 is linked to gastric cancer.
