Human HLA-DQB1 belongs to the HLA class II beta chain paralogs that are expressed in APCs and plays a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from extracellular proteins, which has been recommended for the diagnosis and prognosis of HBV-associated liver diseases (Doganay et al., 2014; Liu et al., 2016b). Here, HLA-DQB1 is linked to liver disorder.
