Nowadays, it is believed that BC is a genetical heterogeneous disease with complex genetic patterns14 and the mutation of genes is an important factor in the occurrence and development of breast cancer.15 In this study, we aimed to evaluate the association between a novel locus of gout (rs2188380 of MYL2‐CUX2) and BC risk as well as the clinical and pathological characteristics in a total of 104 BC cases and 112 control individuals. This evidence concerns the gene MYL2 and breast carcinoma.
