Maternal infection during pregnancy was associated with a 7% lower CRP level (among offspring compared with offspring born to women without an infection (95% CI, − 17,5%) and similarly an 8% lower level of IL-6 (95% CI, − 15, 1%), and a 9% lower level of IL-10 (95% CI, − 23,20%) (Table 4).
