Here we observed that the exposure of tumour cells to IFNγ but not IFNβ was sufficient to mobilize a heterogeneous low‐adherent and floating matter composed mainly of apoptotic and necrotic cell bodies, and a small fraction of cells that survived the IFNγ‐induced stress and later re‐established adherent cell growth.
