Interestingly, p-mTOR resulted more expressed in patients with metabolic syndrome (median value of 0% with a range of positivity in the neoplastic population of 0–100%) than in those with different etiology (p = 0.036) (Figure 2A), and in diabetic patients treated with metformin than those taking insulin (median value of 0% with a range from 0% to 100% vs. 0% with a range from 0% to 40%) (p = 0.021) (Figure 2C). The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
