de Haas et al. (2008), showed that BLMH A/G genotype was related with reduced survival and higher prevalence of early relapses in testicular cancer patients. Recently, Jóna et al. (2016), showed lower rate of pulmonary complications in the A/A genotype group than those in the group containing the mutated allele: A/G+G/G in ABVD (doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine)-treated Hodgkin lymphoma patients. The gene discussed is BLMH; the disease is testicular cancer.
