The main findings of our study are: 1) HOMA-Adiponectin was inversely associated with clamp-derived insulin sensitivity, but the variance of the insulin sensitivity explained by it was not superior to HOMA-IR; and 2) the HOMA-Adiponectin could discriminate patients with and without insulin resistance, however, without a better discriminatory accuracy than HOMA-IR. Here, INS is linked to Insulin resistance.
