By treating releasate from platelet cloaked tumour cells that contained platelet soluble factors plus tumour cell soluble factors, with neutralising antibodies to MICA and MICB the suppression of NKG2D (Fig 3A), degranulation (Fig 3B) and pro-inflammatory cytokine (Fig 3C) production was partially rescued.
