A previous study demonstrated that a soluble VEGFR3 decoy receptor, sVEGFR3-Fc, expressed by a recombinant adeno-associated viral vector, potently suppressed tumor-associated lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis in highly metastatic melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, and prostate cancer models [156]. This evidence concerns the gene FLT4 and prostate carcinoma.
