Spadaro et al. [39] found a significant improvement in ALT, triglyceride and TNF-α serum levels, as well as an improvement in the fatty liver measured by US after 2 g/day PUFAs and a 25–30 kcal/kg/day diet in NAFLD patients (n = 20) vs. a control group (n = 20) who followed the same diet without PUFAs administration. Here, TNF is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
