While FISH-based analysis of chromosome copy number indicates that all 4 AML cell lines have a modal chromosome copy number near 4 (Supplementary Figure 4), immunofluorescence analysis of centrin-2 in these cell lines indicated that only the K562 cell line contains a significant portion of cells with >2 centrosomes (2 centrioles/centrosome) (Figure 4C and 4D). This evidence concerns the gene CETN2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
