In addition to Coffin–Siris syndrome and Nicolaides–Baraitser syndrome, there are many other neurodevelopmental disorders related to BAF subunit mutations, such as Kleefstra’s syndrome [141, 142], disorders of the autism spectrum [143, 144], amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [145] and schizophrenia [146, 147]. This evidence concerns the gene BANF1 and neurodevelopmental disorder.
