TSLP and allergic asthma: A high dose of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) promotes Th1 immune responses and prevents allergic disease in an OVA‐induced allergic asthma model.10 Conversely, a low amount of LPS skews the immune response to Th2 type and induces allergic airway inflammation in a thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP)‐dependent manner.11 TSLP is an epithelial cell‐derived cytokine expressed in the thymus, lung, skin, and gut.
