FER1L4 can significantly promote the proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of glioma cell lines.16 Our study is inconsistent with the results of studies on gastric cancer and colon cancer indicating that FER1L4 may play an inconsistent role in different tumour cells.16 In this study, it is found that FER1L4 was highly expressed in high‐grade gliomas in different grades of glioma tissues and its high expression was significantly negatively correlated with the prognosis of glioma patients. This evidence concerns the gene FER1L4 and glioma.
