The finding that the combined anti‐VEGFR and anti‐TGFβ treatment resulted in enhanced and more uniform accumulation of nanoparticles within the tumor interstitium relative to either therapy alone further confirms that intratumoral transport of nanoparticles and macromolecules is a two‐step process, governed by distinctive cellular and pathophysiological properties of the tumor. This evidence concerns the gene KDR and neoplasm.
