CHEK1 and cancer: We found that TOP2A, TTK, CHEK1, and CENPA play critical roles in biological processes that are highly correlated with cancer (Dominguez-Brauer et al., 2015), such as DNA topological structure, cell cycle progression, and mitosis (Hoffmann et al., 2011; Liu et al., 2000; De Resende et al., 2013; Thu et al., 2018), thereby suggesting their possible role in cancer development.
