Our results are similar to those reported for HSP-72 in which they showed that all the interventions that lead to the induction of HSP-72 expression are associated with impairment of JNK phosphorylation with concomitant improvement of clinical outcomes in humans and animal models of obesity, IR and type 2 diabetes11,23. Here, HSPA1A is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
