WNT5A and lung carcinoma: Because Wnt/β-catenin signaling is dysregulated in lung cancer (30) and the overexpression of Wnt proteins (Wnt1 and Wnt5a) is significantly associated with adverse outcomes in lung cancer patients (31), we speculate that the miR-1-3p/PRC1 axis participates in dysregulation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling in LUAD development (32); however, this hypothesis requires further investigation.
