A similar pattern was observed in the PCOS ovaries, where uPA was predominantly observed in the periphery; and was abundant in the GC, as well as in the stroma (mainly in the centre of the ovary), large and small follicles with only small amounts observed in the TC and FF (Table 1 and Fig. 3 Aii & Aiv). This evidence concerns the gene PLAU and polycystic ovary syndrome.
