In accordance with previous reports, our findings revealed that IRF2 overexpression promoted cell autophagy and proliferation and inhibited cell apoptosis in AML cell lines OCI/AML-2 and THP-1, whereas IRF2 silencing led to an opposite effect, suggesting that IRF2 plays a crucial role in AML progression via autophagy induction. Here, IRF2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
