These results indicate that PvNF-YA1 and PvNF-YA9 participate not only in the transcriptional activation of early markers of infection such as ERN1, a direct target of the symbiotic NF-Y complex (Laloum et al., 2014; Baudin et al., 2015), but also in the control of cell division activities during nodule formation.
