However, recently several researchers have reported tumour suppressive features of FLNA expression in in vitro studies and clinical samples.19,42–44 These findings may be consistent with the dual role of FLNA.45 We previously reported that elevated FLNC expression in oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients is associated with unfavourable prognosis, along with enhanced migration and invasion as well as lymphatic invasion and metastasis.
