PARK7 and Parkinson disease: Consistent with our results, no significant associations were observed between these polymorphisms and PD (rs17523902 p = 0.777, rs226249 p = 0.816, rs200968609 p = 0.188, and rs35675666 p = 0.276) at the allelic level under the random effect model (Figure 2), which indicated that DJ-1 promoter polymorphisms may play little role in PD susceptibility in different ethnic populations.
