CRP levels were detectable (> 1.0 mg/l) in some of the patients (4/10) during hypothyroidism, but during TSH suppression, detectable CRP levels were observed in the majority of patients (6/10), and the mean serum levels were significantly higher during TSH suppression (4.8 mg/l) than during hypothyroidism (2.9 mg/l, p = 0.005). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is hypothyroidism.
